I feel weird and "off" Is it prelabor symptoms?

For the past few days I do not know what is wrong with me!!

I started feeling nauseated a few days ago and losing my appetite. I have had several BM's a day...not loose, but I'm definately more "productive" than usual. I'm really tired...but the worst part is that I just feel "off". I feel weird, like something is happening but I don't know what. I'm not sick, no one in my house is sick, and I can't pinpoint exactly what it wrong with me. I have trouble sleeping due to just feeling weird. I guess I feel sort of "nervous"...physically not mentally. Sort of restless feeling and spazzy, but I'm really tired too. I'm not anemic...been taking my Floradix and my iron readings were great a few days ago. My blood pressure is normal.

Last night I had consistent contractions (4 minutes apart) for hours until finally falling asleep at 4:30am. Today I have had some off and on but nothing consistent or anything.

I just can't really explain how I feel. I don't understand the nausea and loss of appetite either. Just last week I was eating a TON!

Can these be signs of labor coming soon? My body's way of dealing with it, preparing?? I've only been induced before, so this going on my own thing is new to me.

Thanks!!

This pretty much describes me and what I've been dealing with the past week and a half. Also was induced with DS so I have no idea how my body goes into real labor. I wish they were signs of something, but so far it's been a whole lot of nothing when it comes down to it

I don't know what to tell you. This is my third pregnancy and I am in the same boat as you. Both earlier pregnancies were induced. I don't know what naturally-occurring labor feels like.
Something's definitely going on with you - I just don't know what....
It's also hard for me to sleep at night. It's been that way for a couple of months now. I figure it's just mother nature preparing me for almost-sleepless nights once the baby comes.
Are you due soon?

I've been feeling like that for about two weeks. The good thing is, it sure must be a sign labor is coming "soon." The difficult thing is "soon" could be today or weeks from now! Ughh! I hate the waiting!

With my first two, my water broke first giving me an obviously clear sign that labor had begun. I'm hoping that doesn't happen this time, but I'm reading something into every twinge or strange feeling I get!

Well today I feel great. I am having a lot of gas and burping though. Maybe it was a mild stomach thing? I dunno. I hope it was actually...because my dad visited us 2 days ago and the next day came down with a horrid stomach bug. I do NOT want that, and I don't want the kids to have it either. Goodness...that's one bad thing about being pregnant this time of year is all the illness going around. Pregnancy and illness is no fun, but labor and illness is even worse.

I've had a total burst of energy today and got a lot accomplished. I have a checkup with my midwife tomorrow so I might ask her to check me to see my progress. I enjoy progress reports.

How are the rest of you feeling now?

The day before I went into labor with my first DS I felt really "off" like I wasn't quite comfortable but couldn't put my finger on why. Then my water broke, and labor started. This time I have felt "off" a few times and I always expect it to lead to something else with no luck. Of course, my due date isn't for two more weeks so it might just be something hormonal gearing my body up for labor. Who knows. When are you due?

I'm not due for 2 weeks as well. But I was having pre term (well, 36 weeks) labor so I was sure that I would go as soon as I got off bed rest!!

It's frustrating isn't it? I just wish there was a clear "this is labor related or not" answer.

hehehe....wasn't it about 9 months ago that you and I were on the "I might be PG even though I wasn't trying" thread trying to figure out our symptoms and if lines were lines, and now here we are trying to figure out our symptoms once again

Yes! Except it was actually the month or so before I got pregnant. Once we had that "scare", we decided it wouldn't be too bad to be pregnant again and to just see what happens. Sure enough, the next cycle I was pregnant.

It's funny how we women analyze everything like that. I can't tell you how many lines/non lines I've stared at on tests even though I *know* what a line looks like.
