Rotavirus???

Hi all I have a 2 month old niece and my sil (who doesn't listen to me) took this poor babe in for vaccinations yesterday. The babe has a history of GERD (no not breastfed and was given the rotavirus vaccine. My sis called and asked me if vomiting is a normal sideeffect. I don't have any experience with this vaccine (my kids are all delayed selective vaccinated) anyone know if this could cause serious damage?

Rotavirus is a live virus vaccine and therefore any baby can get rotavirus from the vaccine. It's possible that that's why the baby is vomiting. I'm not sure what the time frame for developing symptoms would be though.

I'm pretty sure it is a side effect.

Here are the package inserts if you'd like to take a looksee:

Ask her if she got the package insert with ALL of the side effects and information that the drug companies share with the doctor, but that the doctor did not share with her...I am sure she signed a waiver to get the vaxes.

Why didn't the doctor or nurse explain this to her? He got paid for the visit, didn't he? I am always amazed when someone calls a lay person and asks something like this after they went to and paid a professional who is supposed to be educated in all of these matters.

I hope she will listen to you now.
