I nursed my newborn niece for a week when my DS was 6 weeks old. My SIL had a rough labour and c-section, her nipples were in rough shape, she was having a tough time hormonally and emotionally and was wanting to quit BF'ing and go to formula to make her life easier.
They lived right next door so I begged her to let me give her daughter a week of breastmilk while she recovered. It was hard work nursing two infants but I'm so happy I did it as my SIL wound up nursing her daughter for over 2 years.

That is so awesome. I think that's beautiful. Your niece is a very lucky girl to have such a great aunt.
I start a nanny/mother's helper job next week right after she gets home from the hospital, and I would definitely help her out like that (she's having a c-section), but I don't know if she's the type that would appreciate that kind of help.

It's definitely way outside of this culture's comfort zone.
