Can I make a second batch of stock with the same bone?

I just made a batch of bone broth with beef bones. It cooked for around 12 hrs so I am wondering since I it was only 12 hours can I get a second batch out of these bones and the meat tomorrow?
I was thinking of putting the meat, bones, and veggies in the fridge for the night and then making another batch of broth in the morning.

What do you think?

Thanks!

I do it on a regular basis, and mix the two batches.

wifeandmommy2-4, I routinely cook my bones until they're crumbling to pieces, so you can certainly get more out of your bones after twenty-four hours. I also cook my stock down to concentrate, I forget the French term for the exact stage of broth I make, but it's telling there is such a term. I believe, in the good old days, there were even recipes for "first press" and "second press" bone broth, just as there were for eggs from different seasons.

Yea!

I'm so glad! My first batch is awesome! I was hoping I could get another batch out of these bones!

Do you think I could get one more after this one? I only cook them for 12 hrs so if I did another batch that would be 72 hrs total.

Thank you for the replies!
