I started having red spotting on Thursday, but we heard the heartbeat and it was strong. Friday the spotting turned to bleeding so I went to the ER. An ultrasound showed no heartbeat, babe had stopped growing at 8 weeks but the placenta and sac were still growing so without an ultrasound everything had seemed normal.
I had a night of horrible cramps, gushing blood, and huge clots and I thought everything had passed, but when I went to get an ultrasound to be sure, he was still in there. After more gushing blood I had an emergency D&C yesterday.
I wish I could have stayed the full 9 months with you all. I'm still going to check in and see how everyone is doing! Hopefully I'll be able to join a new DDC in the next couple months.
