Kecci diaper bags?

Hello ladies!!

Lately I have been trying to think of a diaper bag solution with which both DH and I can be happy. We have an 11 month old son and we cloth diaper. Which means that, once you add all the other junk on top of the diapers (which take up much more room than the disposables we used to use), we are overflowing our biggest bags already. And baby #2 isn't even here yet!

I have a conceal and carry license, and carry a purse that is specifically designed for safe gun carry. I refuse to just drop my gun into the diaper bag, and like having the option of having it with me, but not always on my person as it can get in the way while nursing and such. So, I carry two bags. And I really do not want to have to carry 3, when the new babe comes. (my husband suggested a normal sized bag for the baby and a little one - just for diapers and wipes -for DS but quickly re-thought when he pictured me out shopping alone with two babes and three bags in tow! lol) So, I've been looking for a bag that is not only a good, large size but kind of sleek, so it doesn't feel like I'm carrying a suitcase everywhere I go. I'm looking at backpacks, because theyy are usually a bit bigger. Then of course the more small pockets the better (you know, for the spoons, teethers, medicine, and other random junk that we stuff diaper bags with.)

So.... (I'm really getting to the point - promise) does anyone (a) know anything about Kecci bags? Any reviews? They look nice but I'm always hesitant to buy something online without reviews or having looked at it in person myself. Or (b) does anyone have any suggestions for other bags that may work?

Thanks in advance!

I had a Kecci when DS1 was born. I hated it, but maybe they've changed. With mine in order to make it a backpack you had to unzip a large pocket, which rendered that pocket useless since you couldn't re-zip it while the backpack straps were out and in use. Plus it was just a big black hole of a bag, and the beautiful fabric became frayed after a short time of use. Mine was the Shanghai style.

I got one for Christmas a couple of years ago and really enjoyed mine. It was the messager style...something kind of like this: http://www.embellishedmom.com/kecci-day-chart.html
I used it for quite a while, loved it, it was very roomy, but DS grew out of it and I had to move on to something that I found at a local store...something a little bit smaller.
Currently I'm carrying a Vera Bradley bag that I just got for Christmas in '08 and I LOVE it!!! It's great for out and about and also great for overnight visits to grandma and grandpas!! I think it's just more of a tote which makes it very versatile.

I have a Fleurville bag called The Mothership and that thing is BIG.

My husband uses an XL Timbuk2 messenger bag and it's excellent for a diaper bag but there are no outside pockets or top grab handle.

I'm not sure how old your oldest is, but I've found I can put her stuff (snacks, some diapers, sippy, etc) in a small backpack and she can carry it herself. I use a small one she can strap on, but we also have one on wheels she could pull but it's more trouble than it's worth.

My son will only be 18 months old when the babe arrives, so strapping a backpack on him at that point isn't really an option. :-/

I went ahead and ordered the Expedition from Kecci. http://www.sweetnoelle.com/cart.php?...t_detail&p=117 Sweet Noelle has it on sale so I took a stab in the dark. It sounds great to me, so far. We'll see how we like it!!

Thanks for your advice!
