This was so much fun and the love the consistency of the playdough. My girls each made two colors and matt and i stayed up after they went to bed and made the rest.

I am happy to report that Sage's pre-school uses homemade playdough and they had requested help in makeing some to send in to replensih the supply. we are sending in 7 bags, Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink. Sage is super excited to take it to school tomorrow, keeps saying "My Miss Nessa is going to be so happy with our new playdough!

I used Kool-aid so it smells good too, I did add some extra food coloring to brighten up some of the colors though.

Isn't it pretty? http://picasaweb.google.com/heartson...eat=directlink

I started with 2 1/2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, 2 tsp. cream of tartar, 2 packs of kool-aid, 2 cups of boiling water, 5-6 TBLS of Vegetable oil. This made it too sticky so i just kneaded in flour until it was the right consistency. Probably another 1/2 cup. I did add some food coloring to some of the colors to brighten them a bit

NP- I used almost double the oil the recipes called for (by accident for the first batch, but it turned out so nice), I am sure that is why I needed the extra flour

Wow, love the colors. We make playdough all the time but only using food coloring. Colors can be a bit muted. I will try it with kooaid next time. Thanks for sharing.
