25% off Three Sisters

I know I posted earlier concerned about delivery time, but it's all sorted out with a quick phone-call. It had shipped on schedule after all, just not updated in the status. And I received a coupon code through their newsletter today that's in reaction to the toy laws. Good today through 2/9/09 on in-stock items regular priced items. (Not things that ship from another company...they're stated in the description.) And there was a note to not use the code in the shopping cart with sale items.

I stocked up on birthday ring ornaments this afternoon and got a pretty blooming flower nesting puzzle! The code is 25OFF.

The point of the coupon is that they're already losing suppliers for 2009 because of the toy law and they're concerned about staying open this year. If you've got any shopping to do, it's unfortunate that stores are scared, but at least we can help them out a little in the next few weeks. I doubt this will be the last coupon code like this coming out!

I was wondering if as the law approaches things will be on sale because they need to move inventory or going up in value since many distributors and companies have already stopped sending product and it will be harder and harder to find as the deadline approaches. The whole thing has me sick.

Some of the things I was going to order tonight from Three Sisters is out of stock (stockmar mostly) I wonder if they will get anymore in.

I wonder if there aren't already some people trying to take advantage of the limited availability in the U.S. since no one can restock.

I found this blooming flower stacking/nesting toy here on Amazon for $130!! It's the same size and everything!

ETA: Looks like this store is upping the price on all Spiel und Holz. Their theme seems to be hard to get stuff. Oh well. Only a matter of time.

Oh, and looks like Three Sisters put the 25OFF code right on the website. Now I have to decide...order the elemental stacking toys too??? It could be for Christmas. I already warned my husband I'd be stocking up if there are sales.

If it keeps up, everyone knows someone who knows someone stationed in Germany with the Army or Air Force. We can find ways around this craziness! But I really think we'll have a bumpy spring and be sorted out by summer.

I know that shipping from Canada is insane, but if something is available here and Canadian stores are not willing to ship, I would be more that willing to ship it as a gift. I also know someone stationed in Germany, so if I can help, I will be more than willing.

Very pretty! I decided not to order them now, so I'll keep Jalu Toys in mind. I'm excited about my flower though!! I am fully admitting now that doing our play-room is MY therapy. Everything will be good for my toddler of course, but I'm acknowledging and embracing the fact that it's as good for me as it is him.

I was not aware that Spiel and Holz, and Haba, etc. had decided to stop selling in the US. Have all European manufacturer's decided this/being forced to? The only one I'd seen so far that put it in writing was Selecta.

I'm so happy they offered the coupon code- that got DH on board with spending any extra money this soon after Christmas. And there were several things I really wanted. I really hope these purchases will help TST out too. The whole issue is just making me so mad and sad as well
