I know this girl who is having a boy in the spring. I don't know her super well...we are more of "Acquaintances" I have her email address, and want to send some info, but am not sure what to send, or how to word it etc... Anyway, since you don't know where they stand I would start with a very casual email without a lot of links (one to three). You don't want to overwhelm them. And you want them to fairly consider the info without ignoring you because they think you are a radical fanatic.
The other thing I do is I occasionally post links on my facebook page. Then I hope my facebook "friends" (the ones who are really acquaintances) will see them. I specifically friended someone I barely know because I found out she was pregnant with a boy. I am also trying to get up the nerve to send her something directly.
