*and, is anyone else interested in knowing how our beads were used during our births? they were important to us. I made necklaces for myself and each of my daughters. I wore mine often during the last weeks, and i haven't taken it off since Zoe was born. When they prepped me for surgery, I gave my beads to my mother to wear, My daughters each had theirs. My mom was with me in recovery, my DH was with Zoe - she gave me the beads back sometime in the first couple hours, and Zoe often holds them when curled up in my arms or nursing. She's holding them now.
One of my hearts (I bought extras) got chipped a couple weeks ago, which made me sad at the time (because of the way I made my necklace, knotted between each bead, I can't replace it). But DD1 said yesterday that she thinks it is special to remind me of 'being' pregnant now. She is so intuitive for being 9 - she knows that we lost something very important.
