homemade baby shower gift ideas?

...for a non-CDing, non-BWing mom (2nd child, girl). She does BF, but I already gave her a nursing cover. Any ideas? I'd like to make her something useful- I love to sew, but don't have a ton of time, so something that involves some quick, easy sewing would be nice.

Thanks!

Diaper cake, because I love to make them.
Monogrammed or personalized burp cloth, because it's nice to have something that looks nice when you're out (and not always feel like yeah, here I am with another grotty vomit rag on my shoulder).
Monogrammed oer personalized diaper covers, even for disposables it's nice to have something cute on their bottoms.
Pillowcase dress, because they are simple and so very sweet.

Those are all my non-creative standard babyshower gifts. Not that I'm holding back more creative ideas, just those are the ones I usually go with.

I don't sew, so maybe this would be way over the top, but how about a simple dress or skirt for her and an outfit made from the same fabric for her LO? Or would that be too cutesy?

What else ...

Cloth blocks
Fabric book
Baby quilt
Tag blanket

Here is a site with about a bazillion ideas and links to tutorials: http://somethingsewspecial.blogspot..../for-baby.html

So cute! I haven't tried the pattern yet, but I'm glad to see that they came out as adorable as the original!

I recently started appliqueing onesies. I LOVE them. Check etsy for ideas.

Here are some I've done.

Tie
Dove
J (I did fix this one, but sent it off before I got a pic. I forgot to reverse the image before tracing it in the back of the fabric and I'm dyslexic so it didn't occur to me that it was backwards until after I had photographed it. )

I make change pads. Nice fabric with an absorbant cotton liner and a waterproof backing. These are my inspiration http://www.mylilmiracle.com/product....tid=16&AdID=16
