vaccinating older children???

I have a 14 yr old, an 11 yr old and an 8 yr old. I started to vaccinate my first baby and stopped after educating myself more on vaccines and found a physician who did not vaccinate his own children! VERY RARE!!

Anyhow, I am rethinking about selective vaccinations. But find it difficult to find out about age limitations and effectiveness.

I would like to say that all my words and wisdom will keep my 14 yr old away from unprotected sex and drugs but I am not dumb. He will do what he wants regardless of my warnings and education that he is given. Should I give him the Hep B shot??

I would love some advise and opinions and knowledge of older children getting vaccinated and whether it would be worth it.

Hey, welcome to the forum. Good for you for researching rather than blindly injecting the toxins.

Did YOU have the hep B shot before you started dating? Just wondering.

Also do you want to know what's in the vaccine?

One ingredient is formaldehyde - which is very toxic and carcinogenic.

Find out whether the vaccine can cause long term reproductive problems. Because I don't think the vaccine was not ever tested for that.

There have been no long term studies on the cumulative effect to vaccines on the child's developing immune system.

No study on why some kids react to vaccines nor is there any test to determine which kids are susceptible to any vaccine reaction.


Which other vaccine are you considering? Do the research first, please. It may harm them for life.

Does not matter if your an infant or a 20yr old- vaccines are toxic no matter how you look at it.
Many students entering universities are required to get the hep vaccine- you would think at this age no adverse reactions?
No so............................These kids are still at risk of having horrific adverse reactions.

Now think about Gardasil done on 12yr olds +older teens.................many many side effects reported in just a few months on the market!

Look at flu shots...................many reported adverse reactions with teens/elderly/all ages.............................

I had a vax reaction to Dtap when I was 14 in the form of seizures. I got rubella from my MMR booster at 18. When I was 22 and working with street youth I got the Hep B series and ended up very very sick with influenza A and pneumonia (not from the vax, but I think it lowered my immune system).

So I don't believe being older offers protection.

Gitti, I have seen you on MANY of these threads about vaccinations. You appear to have so much knowledge!! I prefer not to vaccinate and agree with you on most of your opinions. But since I do not have your knowldge I want to ask your opinion. Which of the diseases are the most dangerous to get that are still pretty possible to catch? I go back and forth between my worrying and what I know about the cons of vaccines. Recently I was advised that whooping cough and the mumps were going around. I was really worried and was being looked down upon by family and school officials which is hard to hold my ground but I do!!! Altho, I was worried that if any of my children got ill that it would be my fault! My middle child has asthma and whooping cough would be a danger. Also, they would miss 6 weeks of school as they would not be able to attend if someone else in thier school were to contract anything. I also have lived in many states where I have had to claim religious exemption as philosophical exemption was not offered!! GRRRRR I do not want to immunize at all but I worry about them getting ill and the loop holes I have to jump thru. I agree that it is also a danger to vaccinate so I am wondering if ANY of the diseases would be MORE of a danger??? Thanks SOOOOO much~~Melody

In my opinion, if you have fairly healthy nutrition and live a fairly healthy life style, there are no dangers lurking anywhere. None that a healthy immune system can't deal with. We are by nature so designed that we have all the necessary fluids right insider our body to heal us. Our immune system and our lymph nodes serve that function. We are not in any danger whatsoever.

We never know what is 'going around'. But why fear some unknown? Many more things that we have no vaccines for 'go around' all the time. Why are we not afraid of those?

Fear and coercion are very poor decision making tools. Always be aware of that.

It is not your fault if your child gets ill. That is what happens. But imo if your child has a severe vaccine reaction, you are responsible.
One you have no control over (sickness) the other you do (injection into a healthy child).

Some doctors believe that wc can prevent asthma in the long run.

But the vaccine is no guarantee that they won't get wc. The vaccines only protects for a short time at best and is very dangerous.

A religious exemption is akin to a philosophical exemption in that it is based on YOUR OWN belief. Not some 'formal' religion.

The CDC says NO. There is more of a chance to have a vaccine reaction than to get a "VPD". I believe that.

I had a reaction to the Hep B when I got it in middle school. It was immediate extreme pain in the arm I received the injection in then MONTHS of pain. I don't know if it was coincidence or not but for the next several years immediately after this my immune system was shot. I went from extreme pain to constant illness and now "fibro myalgia" I am finally in the last year or so feeling better.
