For those whose started babywearing later...

for those who started babywearing later....DD is 6 mos. Did your children take to it right away? Did you ease them into it? i.e.---a little while one day and then keep increasing the time. Was it easier on you to easy into it. Any thoughts/experiences would be helpful.

I'm just taking my cues from her. I think she really likes being worn (she even likes a Snugli...ewww...I don't like it much). But, pretty much told me in baby language a few minutes ago that she'd had enough for now!! I was wearing her in a mei tai that I just made earlier this afternoon.

I started from day one, but in our local babywearing group there are moms that started later. Most babies like to be held in a carrier, but some are a little more picky than others and when starting later you may need to ease her into it. But, at 6 months, she should take to it really well still since she's so young. Keep following her cues...when she's really to come down, she'll let you know.
