WWYD in this labor situation?

Since 4:30AM I have been having 1 minute long, intense contractions every 3-4 minutes. I only got 1 hour of sleep last night and today, with the help of some arnica, I was able to nap a little, maybe 2 hours.

Nothing is changing, same contractions, losing my mucus plug (I can't imagine there is much left) but, my water hasn't broken.

I don't think I can take another sleepless night, it was no fun.

Would you go in to have your water broken to get things moving? Or should I suck it up and let it happen whenever it's going to happen?

i think i'd just wait... i know it's sooo hard to do, but it will probably go really fast when it's time, so be ready! hang in there!

I agree. Labor is actually much easier with waters intact because you have some cushioning. Those contractions might get pretty painful if you have your water broken. Good luck!

I would have a glass of wine or a beer to ease the contractions and try to sleep. I wouldn't have my water broken.

Hang in there! I would not have my water broken. Have you been walking a lot? When my labor would plateau, getting up and moving around (as torturous as it sounded) was the key to forward progress.

FWIW, my water didn't break until I was pushing (and boy did it pop!) - and she moved down very well despite it being intact.

Here's some "speed it along" dust!
It won't be long now!

Thanks ladies

Things have slowed down a bit but the contractions are still strong as ever. Hopefully DH walks in with a bottle of wine, I sure could use a glass and the sleep

I thought about going to the mall to walk, it's unbearably cold here still with a lot of ice, but the contractions were so close together it just wasn't possible, maybe tomorrow.

Good luck! ITA--leave the waters be. You're almost there!

I hope that you are in labor by now.

Good Luck hon!

My own experience that I just had, I would go and have things checked out just to make sure baby is aligned properly. My DD was not engaged right which is what produced intense transition like contractions for a day without change. It was awful, and had she been aligned right, she would have come the same day for sure.

I don't know how rare my case is, but it certainly makes me leary of intense non-progressive contractions for all future child bearing endeavors. lol

Good Luck hon!! Hope it all works out great and you are holding your bundle of joy soon!

Hey Jojo!

Just popping in to check on things, and say that I hope you're holding your daughter right now!

We all can't wait to hear the news!
