Great conversation with DP last night...

We are expecting a boy in May, so I brought up the circumcision topic again last night. I didn't know what to expect from DP, but I am glad I didn't have to fight him on it.

Me - "We need to discuss the whole circumcision thing."
DP - "OK."
Me - "I don't want it done."
DP - "Why not?"
Me - I went on to list all the regular reasons, unnecessary pain being the #1 reason for me. Then I said the magic words "John, you would punch out any doctor that made your child cry and scream like that. The videos are horrific." I was dead serious, because frankly, he would punch a doctor out that made his child scream like that.
DP - "Ok, we're not getting it done."

That is wonderful!! I brought it up with my DH & told him all the reserach I'd done. FOund a video on youtube for him to watch but he wouldn't watch it. He jsut said that we wouldn't get it done. I asked him later why he just went along with what I said instead of looking into it himself & he said he knew I had put alot of research into it & he trusted that I had come to the best descision.
