I got Season One of Thirty Days from Netflix.
Anyone else watch this show? I am totally disturbed by the "binge drinking" episode. Made no sense for that mom to abuse alcohol like she did. Also, it seemed to be romanticizing underage drinking and risky behavior. I took a lot of risks as a teenager and college student. I got a really bad feeling while watching this episode and it made me want to stop all alcohol consumption, even non-alcoholic beer and virgin drinks. I was so turned off by the way the people in this episode behaved. I am not a big drinker. I maybe have one glass or two of wine a week. That all stops as of yesterday. I feel sick about it now. Such yucky behavior of those people in the show.
I want to be a better example to my kids and send a clear message that alcohol and drugs are not okay. Any suggestions on how to do this?
