List of non-circ friendly docs/peds?

We are preparing to move back to the US with ds (2) and one on the way (it's a surprise but I have a feeling it's another boy ). We've obviously never had a problem with ds being intact in France as that is the norm here and I'd like to find someone who at least knows not to retract in the US!

Does a list like this exist? Thanks!

We have a long list but unfortunately it is not available right now. I am so sorry for this inconvenience!!! What area are you in?

We can start the list again until the other list is made available.

I will start:

Ohio:
Dayton, Dr. Mickey Denen
6611 Clyo Rd
Internal Medicine & Pediatrics
Suite A
Dayton, OH 45459

*this doctor does not retract and understands the harms of retraction.

Puerto Rico:
San Juan, Dr Mario Ramirez
787-764-2274

*this doctor refuses circumcising and understands the development of the foreskin in great depth. He also educates other doctors about the normal development of the intact boy.

It's not my intention to hijack the thread but I was not aware of such a list and would be eager to see it. I'm in East Tennessee and I've not encountered many foreskin savvy medical personnel.

There was recently a list that was locked for some UAV it was quite long though it would be nice to get the names and practices back though.

I now wish I had copied them all down or saved them somewhere.

CACers, PLEASE reenter the names and practices of the foreskin friendly pedis in your area!

That sounds like a wonderful resource! I think it would be great to get it started again. It's a shame we are not able to retrieve at least the names from the old thread.

I'll be on the Eastern Shore of MD until baby is born and then will eventually be moving to the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area.

I think there were a couple in that area on the list and we do have some members from that area here so if they see this hopefully they can repost the info for you. I was a valuable resource that was meant precisely for people like you, I hope we can get that list back.

Are we reentering our info? If so:

Dr. William Parker
Portico Pediatrics
Youree Drive
Shreveport, Louisiana
(318) 212-3930

He doesn't retract, and when we thought our LO might have a UTI, he never said anything about the fact that he was uncircumcised possibly being a cause. Another plus is that he is very crunchy himself -- he and his wife have 8 children who were all breastfed until age 2 or beyond, many were tandem-nursed, and they teach NFP classes together.

Sure re enter the info, others may need it.

That would be a great list to have. I am in Fairfield County CT.

I will say however that even though my son's first pede were mainstream.(Im switching for a variety of reasons)..I made it clear to leave my son's foreskin alone and I am always in the room and they never tried to retract.

I'm in Northern VA with a very intact friendly dr, he is family practice & has never retracted any of my boys & knows not to. He also has told me there is no reason to circ, we have many other options for phimosis or anything that could come up, although nothing has.

Hi there,

Just so you all know, Dr. Huang is no longer doing traditional practice at the Holmdel office. She is now exclusively at the Colts Neck location doing Holistic medicine, accupuncture and sick child visits. No well-child visits and she does not take insurance, but will give a claim form for insurance.
