early signs that you may be preggers?

hey there. i am 38 and trying to get pregnant. my bd and i just started, and i have a feeling that i may be pregnant, but it could just be hopeful thinking.

so i am asking y'all, what are your early symptoms? i am in the first month, before really for sure knowing- i'm not going to miss a period for a few weeks. can you actually have symptoms this early?

already i have an aversion to some foods/coffee. having mood swings (crying for no reason). but these could be from finally starting after wanting for so long...

any lists of your early symptoms would be most appreciated! thanks.

How many DPO are you? I am guessig you just ovulated because you said that you have a few more weeks before AF comes.

At this point you wouldn't really be having any symptoms because most of pregnancy symptoms come from hormonal changes and at this point you wouldn't be getting any symptoms because your egg most likely would not have even implanted yet. That is the clinical answere.

However, though it has never happened to me, my little sister gets symptoms within days of concieving. She always knows the minute she gets pregnant.

Myself I usually get a bfp at 10 DPO and symptoms start at about 14 DPO. The one symptom I do get ahead of time but I don't know if it is so much a symptom as it is my body just trying to tell me "no" is that I can't lose any weight once I concieve. I am one of those crazy diet people who is always trying to control their weight and when I conceive I can go without eating for days *I know I know, : I shouldn't do that* and it will make no difference. I will not lose 1 pound and may even gain a few. But the nausea, mood swings, and food cravings never start right away for me. Maybe a little minor things in the beginning but not so much until I am about 6 weeks pregnant.

But like I said, my little sis will get all of that from day 1. Lol,.......lucky her.

k. good to know. i still have a strange aversion to coffee though. and i loooove coffee. weird. it just tastes yucky to me (not my bd, though- so i know it's not the coffee!) and it reminds me of how tomato sauce was disgusting to me back during my first pregnancy. just tasted yucky for no apparent reason.

What exactly is your BD??? We usually use those initials for babydancing (ie having sex), are you meaning baby daddy??? good luck, either way.

I think most of the early pregnancy symptoms start right after implantation 7-12 DPO. With that said, before implantation could have possibly occurred I had a 'heavy' feeling in my uterus. Not sure how to describe it because it wasn't crampy, but I was more aware that my uterus was there. For me, it was a good 8DPO before I had any other symptoms, the main one being really hot at night and when I woke up. I would literally strip down when I woke up because I would be sweating. I also had one day when I felt dizzy, I think it was 9DPO.

Some people are pretty intune with their bodies. I wouldn't discount your symptoms, but I also wouldn't put everything into thinking that they mean you're pregnant for sure since it may be too early to tell.

Lill-
You might consider doing a BBT, with fertility friend, or another online site, and see when your ovulation time is. Because by waiting until day 15, if you were me, you've already missed that boat.

Fertility friend has a whole charting course you can take, that will explain when optimal time for Baby dancing is.

The only symptom that I had from the day of conception (I use fertility friend) was very tender nipples. I have only been pg once though.

Taking Charge of You Fertility is a great book for learning about charting.

I start feeling sick at 7DPO. I'm usually puking by 14DPO. But other than that I have no other "pregnancy symptom's" until around the 6 week mark. (though puking is a major pregnancy symptom in my books)

I got that feeling at about 3 DPO. I told DH it felt like my uterus was swollen or something because it felt heavy like it was going to pop out of my stomach. Did you ask your signifigant other or someone else to feel it? I had DH just touch my stomach to show him that it felt heavy and he could feel that it was hard on the outside or larger I guess you would say. He felt it immediatly. I don't know what it was in my case though because it was too soon for implantation and dh and I hadn't BDed recently.

In my head I thought something might be going on in there but I am really not sure what caused it.

So is anyone else reporting possible early pregnancy symptoms? I am too early to tell yet but yesterdays mood was def off. Too soon to be a symptom or was DH dead on when he said I was acting preggers? That remains to be seen.

If you asked me after my first pregnancy I would have told you most super early symptoms are your mind playing tricks on you.

Except that I'm pregnant now and I've suspected since about 5DPO. Confirmed 11DPO.

I was crampy, like period cramps, and had the hot flashes and also dizziness. This was all happening a week after the one and only time we had sex this cycle. I also started getting REALLY angry really quickly and that's a symptom from my last pregnancy. But it hit earlier this time.

So now I'm absolutely an early symptom believer.
