Pikkolo or Angel Pack LX?

I've finally narrowed it down to those two carriers. Any suggestions?

I'm fairly small, 5'6 and 110lbs. My DS is almost 4 months old, and 14lbs. He does like to look around a lot, which is why I thought the Pikkolo might be good because he can face front if he wants to.

There are so many carriers to choose from, it's so hard trying to decide. I want them all!

I'm curious about this too, so I thought I'd bump up the thread :-)

I haven't tried the Angel Pack, but I just wanted to say that I love my Pikkolo. When SS was really little we did all forward facing in. When she was big enough she loved the forward facing out option. We'd do ffo when she was awake and curious, then when she got sleepy we'd do ffi. It was awesome. I use it a lot for putting her on my back now, but can still use the ffi position as well.

The memory foam in the straps is thin, so the pack isn't as bulky as an Ergo (I'm about your size and was literaaly overwhelmed in an Ergo), but the foam provides a lot of nice support.

My Maya LP is my go-to for quick errands, my Pikkolo is my go-to for longer ventures.

I think either one could work for you, but you would probably get better use out of the Pikkolo sooner. The APLX like other SSCs is really meant for when baby can straddle you and have legs out and most 4 month old babies aren't quite ready for full-on straddle but they're too big for froggy legs. In another couple of months you could probably use either just fine, but for right now the drawstring-base of the Pikkolo would be a great feature to have to allow legs-out.
