It was a light hearted gift given in a lighthearted manner by someone who has probably opened the eyes of many people.

I shared it with a light heart and people got all serious on me. I won't be parading my son around in the shirt. The people at playgroup see his penis every time he gets changed so his status is no secret.

I think not having a sense of humour about things does more to hurt causes than to help them.

For the record i did not commission or ask for the shirt it was given by a friend who has a strange sense of humour and who is passionately anti circ.

I am quite now regretful that I chose to share the shirt.

Thanks to the people who took it as the light hearted sentiment that it was intended to be.

Honestly - it wasn't clear from the OP that you thought it was funny/tongue in cheek. I thought you were serious about it. Sorry!

Oh don't feel like that I hope I didn't come off as not having a sense of humor.

I have a great sense of humour. Just because someone disagrees with you or your shirt does not mean they don't have a sense of humour.

That isn't what I am saying. CAC is usually pretty heavy so I thought I would post it because it was light hearted. Then all these serious folks had to weigh in and make a light hearted t-shirt a heavy issue.

Amanda: Not all of us are humorless. I rather like the shirt. I also don't think it is wrong to call attention to a baby's intactness. Now, once the child is older I would think it would be unless the boy himself wanted to be a little intactivist. But on an infant I see no problem. So put that shirt on him and let him wear it with pride!!

We need more light hearted around here. This is a heart-breaking cause for many of us.

My son has a shirt or two that people might not approve of (e.g. I'd rather be naked) but oh well!

Speaking of shirts, there's a new web site trying to be a clearinghouse for wacky t-shirts. No charge to add your shirt to their searchable browsing gallery.

I suggest we all load them up with intactivist designs and use words like "parenting" and "new baby" for our indexing words. The web site is http://WhereDidYouGetThatTShirt.com and all they do is send traffic to your site. If you don't have a site, just set up an account at Zazzle.com or CafePress.com
