Is it silly to buy two different kinds of CD's?

I can't decide between fuzzi bunz and bum genius AIO so I am thinking about getting 5 or so of each and using them for a while to see which I like better before buying my whole stash... is that silly?

That's not silly at all!

I have like 5-6 different kinds of diapers in my stash. I usually buy a few of one kind and then move on to another kind. Variety is the spice of life I'd be dreadfully bored if my entire stash was one kind of dipe.

Sounds like a good plan, actually. I've found that different ages and stages work better with different diapers. I like FB's but my DS hit a stage where we were doing almost every diaper change with him standing up or jumping around. Forget snaps! We used pretty much all BG's for a while. Now that he's laying down again, I like the fit of FB's again.

I'm so glad I've tried a lot of diapers! I've tried Happy Heiny's, Haute Pockets, BG, Mommy's Touch, Fuzzibunz...and finally discovered that TinyTush is my fave. Plus I use fitteds and prefolds, too. Like someone else said - I think I'd get bored if they were all the same!

I'm only buying 1 or 2 of each kind of diaper until I find what I like. I buy them cheap or on FSOT of diaperswappers. I figure this way I won't end up with a ton of diapers I may hate.

We started out with 5 or 6 different kinds until we figured out what we liked best and what fits DS body the best.

To be honest, I think it's silly NOT to buy a variety.

I agree with the PP. My stash is extremely varied. I've used flats, prefolds, 5 different brands of covers, Bumkin AIO, Fuzzi Bunz pockets, and made some of my own pockets using two different patterns. I have yet to find the "perfect" diaper for all occasions. I think that different types of diapers work best at different ages. Variety is definitely a GOOD thing with CDs!

nak

not silly at all! i'm going to buy 1 or 2 of several different aio and pockets before i decide on my stash!

It's nice to have only a few types so that you know how to adjust them quickly. DH doesn't like trying to figure out several diaper types.

However, DD goes through phases where one brand is perfect. Then she grows and another brand is perfect. It's nice to have 2-3 options.

So not silly! It's smart. FB get rave reviews so I considered buying a bunch of them for my outings/night dipes. But I saw BG 3.0 and the HH were on sale so I bought a variety. So glad I did. I ended up not loving FB, but I LOVE my BG 3.0 and the med HH are great too.

I think it's silly to buy whole stash of one brand

I cannot imagine not having a variety, TBH.

I love different colors, types, and brands. We use pockets mostly (have 6 different kinds) as well as AIO's, fitteds, prefolds and even flats when I'm feeling the urge.

variety is the spice of life. I go thru phases and would be completly bored w/only one system, much less one brand.

Babies are shaped differently, wet more or less than others, and you will find that you have preference for some diapers over others.

Please we hav eso many different types...it's crazy...I have some cloth, fitteds, prefolds,AIO's Pockets BG,FB, G diapers. You name it!

I think you would be silly if you locked yourself and your investment into one type of diaper.
Variety allows you to find the best fit and absorbency.

Do you only have one pair of shoes?

Agreed! I love having a hugely varied stash, and it's fun to try out new styles.

Not at all. We use a little bit of everything. Mostly we use fitteds and wool at home and pockets and aios while out. I love having variety

wonderful!

I wouldn't even get 5 of each! I'd try maybe 2 of lots of different kinds, find the one you like the best, sell the others off and buy a whole stash.

I have 2 types of pockets that I use consistently, 2 kinds of fitteds, one kind of prefold (brown GMD), flats and I'm going to try two different kinds of AIO.

Join the crowd!

I totally agree - when we started CDing, my first order was I think 5 different kinds with 8 diapers total - and then next order was trying even some other different ones! I like having a variety and having different absorbancies and I kind of work it between her light and heavy wetting times.
