Is it silly to buy two different kinds of CD's? - Page 2

funny to see this post today. i just order 6 different types of pockets to see what we like best for our whole stash. i figure i'll like all of t hem enough to use them occasionally, and then will buy about 5 or so more of the pocket or pockets i love.

ftr, i bought one each of BG 3.0, FB, GAD, HP, MTOS and the Thirsties AIO pocket.

That's not silly. Those are both great diapers. I use and love both. Plus, trying a stay-dry diaper like FB and a natural fiber diaper like BG will help you decide which is better for your baby's bum.

Having said that, don't feel like you have to eventually buy all one type. Different diapers are good for different situations.

My thought exactly.

also different diapers work nicer for different setting.

I liked prefolds with no cover to run around outside in the yard - or a fitted.
the few AIO's were used in the diaper bags for quick easy changes.

I strongly advise my customers not to buy all one kind of diaper and to mix it up some. Same with covers -- try several. Baby comes in a variety of sizes, shapes, pee needs. Balancing the scales with variety give a better chance for success imo.

I have like 5-6 different kinds of diapers in my stash. I usually buy a few of one kind and then move on to another kind. Variety is the spice of life i'd be dreadfully bored if my entire stash was one kind of dipe.
ditto!

I used only FB with my first, and it worked. Esp. for DH... He still only reaches for the FB and moans and groans when faced with an alternative. But our dd's sensitive skin rebelled and now our stash is quite diverse-which I enjoy immensely. I guess my suggestion is to keep in mind not only what you and partner like, but also that each baby is different!

If that's silly then I'm crazy. I probably have at least 10 different kinds of diapers, some I use more than others, but for the most part I love using different diapers for different situations. I have specific night-time dipes, going out dipes, church dipes and everyday dipes.

Not silly at all. What's silly is committing yourself to cd'ing, then not being patient enough to explore what's out there, running down to the local dept. store and buying up all the kushie aio's they had (8 if you're wondering) and finding out that they really, really don't work for you. whew.

Live and learn I guess, 7 years and 2 more kids later, I have a nice variety to choose from now I think I finally gave away those aio's a couple years back.

I have like twenty different types of diapers. They're all good in different situations or at different ages, and I like having choices. We've sort of slowly built up our stash by buying one or two of this and that and seeing what works.
