Link please - doctor's firing patients

I looked around for a bit, but couldn't find the link I'm looking for...

Does anyone quickly have the link that discusses how the AAP (or CDC maybe?) tells doctors not to fire patients for not vaxing and that they need to work with them?

Thanks in advance!!

I actually remember just reading something a couple days ago on here that was a thing from the AAP talking about how they don't recommend that you release patients on families on the basis of not vaccinating. I remember being very surprised-and while they were basically saying to try everythign in your power to get parents to vax- they said it doenst help anything to not treat the kids because of this.

But I don't remember which page it was on?? sorry!

Yeah- that's it. It definitely does say stuff about firing but I think that docs will use this to twist what the aap is actually saying. They're saying you should only fire under rare circumstances and if it's completely impossible to work w/ the family.
I don't think that most non vaxing families fit into that category, but I know PLENTY of people who have been fired from docs for hardly anything. My one friend had a doc who was fine w/ not vaxing, except he was militant about the chicken pox vax- and when they said they'd rather not get it he fired them.

I think the respectful docs that use common sense realize that there are ways to live in peace w/ eachother even when we disagree. Some peds just get so angry that you won't listen to them that they don't wanna deal w/ you anymore.
Very sad.

Gee, I wish I could fire my boss sometimes!

Doesn't the doctor work for you?

If a doctor wanted to fire me, I'd be outta there.

Honestly, I think it's ok for doctors (as well as any other professional) to work with clients who are a good "fit." The only concern I have is that it seems in some areas, some people cannot find ANY doctors who will work with their unvaxed children. Otherwise, when we all have choices, both the doctor and the patient should be able to exercise them.
