I just took my 2 oz of caster oil. Yuck. Puke. My midwife and the OB want me to try this to try and avoid a medical induction. I had a seizure and have GD so they will NOT let me go over 40 weeks. Of course none of my kids have come before 41w6d. Wish me luck!

Are you doing nipple stimulation too? Good luck, hope everything goes well. I've read some stuff about using castor oil compresses on the belly and feet, you might try that. It's supposed to be an easier on you.

Do all of the tricks you can think of- castor oil internally and the packs as suggested, nipple stimulation as suggested, accupressure points, bouncing and rolling on a yoga ball to get baby into a good position, spicy foods, fresh basil and oregano, fresh pineapple & visualization. You'll be holding your babe soon

nak

Just wanted to say with the nipple stimulation, I had to REALLY umm stimulate them to get contractions going. Then I found I had to keep doing it, even during the ctx to keep it going. Did this on and off for hours before things got regular, so don't give up on it. As I'm not (ahem) a nipple stimulation kinda person, I learned I had to really ... dig in ... to get things going.

Just wanted to suggest it because it DOES work, it's just getting the right intensity and duration going to MAKE it work.
