Sling/carrier recommendation for a premie?

Any recommendations for a sling/ carrier that worked well for a premie? I have a Maya wrap and an Ergo, but neither of those seem like they would be a good fit. Thanks for any advice.

I had a NoJo baby sling for my DD. When I used it during the first month I put it on backwards and used the shoulder pad to cushion her head when she was snuggled inside. I got this tip from the Dr. Sear's Baby Book. Hope that helps.

My first was a preemie. It was hard using a ring sling with her actually because she was so small and the ring sling pouch was so big. I would actually avoid a ring sling or pouch for such small babies. An Ergo would definitely not work, as it's not meant for such small babies - not even with the infant insert. You need something that is very adjustable and for that I recommend a stretchy wrap (Gypsy Mama Bali Baby Stretch or a Moby are good ones).

DD was born at 37wks & a little over 5lbs. I used a moby wrap & a karma baby fleece pouch for her at first.

I've used a tank top that was designed for skin to skin & it was super cozy.

think a stretchy wrap would be perfect for a preemie. and i have good friend with a preemie right now and that's what she's using pretty much all the time.

i do think a ring sling would work, but in a tummy-to-tummy upright position - i wouldn't try to lay baby in the sling.
