This cannot freaking be happening!

I just stopped bleeding postpartum at 5 weeks and today at exactly 6 weeks postpartum AF arrived!

I do NOTHING but nurse this little guy around the clock, I'm nursing him right now! I can't believe this! I didn't even think this was possible.

What did I do wrong!?

I got mine at 3 months PP last time. Nothing yet this time, but its only been 5 weeks...

It seems to be happening to me as well, only mine was 6w1d after birth. I also seem to nurse around the clock (if he's awake, he's nursing), he doesn't take a binky for more than about 30 seconds and has had three bottles of expressed milk in his life. If this is my period, it's so not fair!

I usually get mine about 3 months postpartum. You didn't do anything wrong. Every woman is different and your body is bouncing back quickly.

Well, I stopped bleeding off and on the last few weeks....going as long as a week between bleeding. It doesn't seem like AF though...

Not in your DDC, but I wanted to say that the same thing happened in both my postpartum experiences. I too was totally bewildered by it, but my midwife told me that some women do that and it doesn't mean your fertility is back. For me, I had that one period at 6 weeks then nothing for the next year or so. My 'real' period returned about 16-18 months later. It was totally werid, but I think that was just my body trying to get the pipes back in line after the birth, then they went on vacation for the rest of the year.

oh mama I get my AF back by at least 8 weeks PP. And for me it does mean I'm fertile. Ds2 and Ds3 are 12 months apart b/c of it

I'm 4 1/2 weeks PP so I'm sure any day now AF will arrive :

: I'm gonna pray that happens to me! I am SO not ready to deal with this. I haven't even gotten to dtd yet!

After my first DD, I got my first menses at 4 weeks post partum. My doctor didn't believe me at my 6 week appointment... but ta-da! Exactly 29 days later (my VERY regular cycle), another visit from Aunt Flo.

The only thing I hated about it was that I had stitches until about 12 weeks post-partum. Bleh. That is some nasty stuff. Also my milk supply dipped dramatically at these times.

I PP bled for not quite 3 weeks and haven't gotten it yet, I cramped for several days but nothing yet. Not sure when I got it with DD.

Grrr... that must be so frustrating!!

I had a tubal ligation when I had my c/s so I don't know how thats going to affect my cycle, if at all. But my cycle tends to be sensitive to pretty much everything.

I haven't nursed Lucien for a week and a day now. We just couldn't keep it up anymore. Everyday I expect to start my period again. Bummer.
