Any ideas on how to make an oil free eye makeup remover?

Do you mean oil free as in petroleum free?

I don't make one but I use Alba Unpetroleum to remove my eye make up. It's pretty much castor oil, coconut oil, bees wax and vitamin E.

Why do you want an oil free eye makeup remover? Most commercial oil-free make-up removers are full of synthetic ingredients. The simplest, most natural eye make-up remover is to use a natural vegetable oil. Actually, the most natural solution of all is to not wear makeup in the first place!

I just wanted to make something vs buy something with synthetic ingredients.

Thanks Shonahasmom. I'm going to try to put something similar together.

did you try it? how did it go? i used to use coconut oil but sometimes it irritated my eyes - too liquid and got into my eyes. i switched to organic make-up, and it all comes off very easily now, so that helps.

I have used plain Olive Oil or pure shea butter and had great results.

I had surprisingly great results with honey. I don't typically wear eye make up so I don't own any eye make up remover, but I wore mascara the other night and it came off easily with honey. I washed my lids and lashes just like I would with soap and water.

I've been rubbing Sweet Almond oil onto my eyes just before getting in the shower. : )

Jojoba oil works great too.
