Cormack Larry was born peacefully at home in water, under fantastic midwifery care!
The oldest two siblings witnessed the birth, as well...Espen slept through the event!
Cormack was born on Wed., Jan. 21 at 1:20 a.m. after a quick (1.5 hours), intense labor (what Christine would consider "very active" labor...went from 6 cm to complete in about 1/2 an hour). The pushing stage was quite short as well, about 10 min.
Baby's gestation at time of birth: 42 weeks 4 days
Baby stats:
10 pounds 3 ounces
21.25 inches
Baby is doing fantastic and of coarse alert...he is a nursing pro!
Mom is doing fantastic, as well....one super small 1st degree tear (that didn't need stiches)!
We are thrilled to finally gaze at Cormack! We are also happy to be done with all the extra check-up appts., acupuncture appts., chiropractic appts., back-up nurse-midwife appts., etc...
