use a serger for mama cloth?

Is it even possible to use a serger for mama cloth? I can't seem to figure out how to round sharp corners which I would need to do for pads. It seems like it has to be possible but upon searching the net I keep finding posts that say that you can not turn sharp corners with a serger. I have a brother overlock that I am still learning to use and a whole pile of mama pads cut and ready to sew.

I don't usually use the knife when I'm serging tight curves, i just cut the edges very neatly and then serge without the knife and it works fine. You do need a steady hand to keep the stitches in the right place.
