Jennifer86 - has the sleepiness subsided at all? Sometimes it takes a few weeks. I hope you're feeling better.
Carfreemama - I sooo hear you on the swine flu!!! You can only do what you can do. At this stage the best protection is practicing good hygeine. And anybody planning to do an Emergency Preparedness Box or something? They keep talking about it at work and in the media. I think I'll write it on the calendar and do it one weekend. Hang in there, Mama. Have you ever tried Mindfulness Meditation? Even 20 minutes a day can, over time, build some good islands of peace amidst the torrents.
Mama~Love - please don't worry about whether there's a "right" way for you to "do" therapy... if you are going to just go and cry, then do that! At least in the beginning anyway. Hopefully the counsellor will have ways of helping you feel supported, understood, listened to, not judged and safe in communicating. Hopefully with time you will feel more comfortable with talking about your feelings. I hope you are feeling better soon.
I'm sorry you're feeling low about yourself. You are a good person. Just because you have that feeling doesn't mean that it is true. That feeling will pass. It won't always be this way.
punkrockmomma - doing meds is just one step, you can most certainly ENHANCE your health (mental, physical, spiritual) by doing some exercise, taking vitamins, practicing some positive cognitive behavioural retraining of thoughts, surrounding yourself with supportive friends and words.
