I just bought some of this today, just to get stocked up for baby. Man its expensive! $5 for a small bottle seems like a lot?!

Which seems expensive?

Purex is one of the cheapest laund. detergents out there The bottles are small b/c everything is going ultra-concentrated.

It's been on sale lately around here (SW PA) and I got some for $3. I don't recall seeing any coupons - anyone else?

I'm a Purex F&C fan. We use primarily prefolds and covers. However, I do use BG 3.0's for night time and I also use some AIO's for out and about. I wash all of the above in Purex and haven't had a problem. I use about a quarter to half the recommended amount. With our hard water I also use some Calgon water softener about every other wash. I've had to strip a few times, but nothing major and more than likely due to our water.

I think detergent performance is heavily based on water, so give it a try and see if it works for you, Purex is pretty cheap.

Its the only detergent I use and I've never had a problem with my prefolds or fitteds.
