What to use in the birthing tub for pillow or cushion??

I'm thinking what to use for when leaning against the tub or sitting down, laying down in the tub? I'm planning to use our garden tub in the bathroom for laboring or maybe for the birth. Where or what can I buy that is inexpensive plastic (or blow up pillow or seat cushion, it they sell these)?? Also if you used light blow up pillow or seat cushions how did you secure them so they don't float around the tub??
What did you use for your water birth?
Thank you.

I didn't end up birthing in the tub, but I used a blow up spa pillow that I got from Walmart while laboring. It was in the same section as the bubble baths, loofahs, etc. It worked great!

For padding when I was sitting or kneeling, I put a pillow between the clear liner and the tub. Of course, that only works if you are having a seperate liner. I used my MW Aqua Doula and I had a clear plastic liner over the blue liner that's part of the tub. For the sides, I had old towels that I folded up and placed over the sides. I also had two of those knee pads from the gardening section, but I didn't end up using them (forgot to tell DH about them).

I know a blow up cushion would drive me batty. Go to a discount store and buy a $5 pillow you know you'll throw away. Or better yet use an old pillow in your home and treat yourself to a new pillow for your bed to rest on after the birth. Having a baby gives me the excuse to get new pillows

I didn't use anything and never felt the need for it either.

We bought a couple pillows at Target for $2.50/piece to use for anything birth related - in tub or out... so we dont care if they get destroyed.

many people use a blow-up bath pillow full of water instead of air

others just use a real pillow

I wound up not wanting my pool at all, so i have no personal experience for you
