IIRC, I read something about the danger in giving Tylenol to babies after shots because it did SOMETHING to their gut, but now I can't remember. Help?

Tylenol really reduces glutathione levels, and glutathione is an important part of our detoxification process. I think glutathione is used in the gut, but it's in many other places throughout the body too. Not sure if that's part of what you're remembering...

I think this is the one -

I think it came from Age Of Autism. I just had it on a word document.

But you can go to your library with the information I posted, and they can get you the published source.

If you want a copy of the full text PDF of the scientific article, you can PM me.

Or, you can try this link -

"...(S)tudy was performed to determine whether acetaminophen use after MMR vaccination could be associated with autistic disorder. This study used an online parental survey conducted from July 2005 to January 2006, consisting of 83 children with autistic disorder and 80 controls. Acetaminophen use after MMR vaccination was significantly associated with autistic disorder in children 5 years old or less, after limiting cases to children with regression in development, and when considering only children who had post-vaccination sequelae, adjusting for age, gender, ethnicity, and presence of illness concurrent with measles-mumps-rubella vaccination. Ibuprofen use after measles-mumps-rubella vaccination was not associated with autistic disorder. This study found that acetaminophen use after measles-mumps-rubella vaccination was associated with autistic disorder."

Yes, this is yet another example of doctors giving advice to trusting parents with no science or other evidence to back up the protocol.

Tylenol contains sodium benzoate. One of the possible side effects of sodium benzoate is mitochondrial dysfunction, which is possibly linked to autism.

Both times dd had vaxes, we were given free samples of Tylenol by the HD nurse. When I questioned our FPMD about dd's persistent fever post-shots, the MD told us to use Tylenol before and after the shot, as long as it took to keep the fever down.

That was the last time we asked for her opinion on vaxing.
