anything I need to worry about at the dentist?

weird question, but I'm going to the dentist today, for a consult and likely a cleaning (haven't been in years, eep!), and I'm wondering if you wonderful mamas know of anything I need to be aware of in regards to allergies? Were top 8 plus a couple other things.....do they use anything funny to do teeth cleaning? Would that even matter, since its me going to dentist not my allergic DD (nursling).

Make sure they use Latex free gloves. For some reason dentists still tend to use latex (at least around here).

Hope it's not too late to chime in here. The polish they use....umm...ask for pumice instead. It's just pumice. The polish has colors, and other undisclosed ingredients in it. The box at my dentists' office didn't even have the ingredients listed!
