Pattern for easy knit and felted headband

Anyone know where I can get an easy pattern for a knit and felted headband? I want the kind that you tie in the back, not a solid circular one if that makes sense. Something that starts thin and gets thicker in the center and then decreases again on the other side.

Does it have to be felted?

It doesn't have to be, but I was hoping it would be because I wanted to needle felt some things on it

Well, you can needlefelt straight onto knitting. How about doing a swatch and taking the shaping, but not ribbing, from calorimetry?

eta: obviously, you'd need to do your short rows properly.
