What news magazines do you all read?

I read a paper form of The Atlantic Monthly and "The Nation" online.

I'd like to get a weekly, though: Newsweek, US News & Worldreport, Time...? What do *you* read, and why?

Thanks,
Kay

We get Newsweek, but I'm lucky if I even get to read a fourth of it! Between trying to read the daily newspaper, some of whatever book I'm reading at the moment, and keepign up with the other 3 magazines we subscribe to, I just can't keep up with Newsweek like I'd like to.

THat said, I do like it for the most part...our local paper doesn't give very good international news, so Newsweek fills in nicely there. Also, it's a good, Bush-bashing publication - gotta love that. I've actually been surprised at how blantantly anti-Bush they've become over the past 4 years!

Kay,

I get Newsweek as a gift from my grandmother and have for about six years. I think she has me subscribed until at least 2006. I enjoy reading Anna Quindlen every other week, My Turn (which is a guest column of mostly everyday folk), and the Perspectives (quotes and politcal cartoons.) NW follows me around throughout the week, not that it gets all the way read, and helps me stay basically in-touch since we don't watch TV. I can't do the daily paper, I start feeling way overwhelmed--once a week works much better for this mama. Oh, wait, I also like NW's personality/people (think that's what it's called) section. Kinda like a mini-People magazine all on one page
