Infant/Toddler/Child Beanie Hat

Hi all,

I am looking for a pattern (preferably free) to knit a beanie style hat with ribbing along the bottom and then closed top (no i-cord) using dpns. I would like to have a pattern that gives a couple sizes...as I have a nb on the way and I have a 2 yr old and 5 yr old that I would like to make some hats for.

I knit one from a book I got at the library - A One Skein Book.
I will go and try to find the exact book for you. It came out really cute and my little one gets lots of compliments on it.

I've taken out both books (not the luxury yarn book) from the library so not sure which book had the pattern but if you click on link for the project gallery and look under worsted weight, sixth row down, last hat - called Ela's Favorite hat. I knit it all one color and in cream, handspun.

I made one of these a couple weeks ago with moss stitch along the bottom instead of the edge used in the pattern.
