Hi, Did anyone watch this new show last night? I thought it was pretty interesting. I'd love to be able to tell when people are lying like that. I am horrible at it - so gullible! Looks like they've got a couple of different story lines to explore that will be good in addition to the individual cases each show. I hope it stays!

I caught part of it, but basically missed the entire last half, when I was trying to coax my exhausted Dh out of bed for his job (third shift)... It does look pretty good though, and I think in the future Dh wants to get up and watch it too, which would be great -- since it would mean I wouldn't have to miss it waking him up!

Yeah - the Jehovah's Witness characterization was a pretty bad stereotype. It would be nice to see a show sometime try to dig a bit deeper into that faith and show the good too!
I don't remember her name but I'm curious to know what the women's husband was lying to her about. When the new woman pointed it out to Dr. Leightner? I hope it is not something boring like he's cheating on her. I'd like to see them come up with something original.
All in all - looking forward to the next episode!!!

I thought it was pretty good too. I'm not entirely sold, though, but I like Tim Roth so I'm going to give him a few more chances

:OK, I've been sitting here thinking about Kelli Williams' character, trying to figure out why I'm not into her. I like listening to her, she's got a nice voice.
She wears these very nice outfits, probably more expensive than her character could actually afford, and they seem out of place. And her hair was too pretty. So I've got a theory. Maybe she's modeled after Gillian Anderson's Scully in X Files. She was this FBI agent with fabulous hair, expensive clothes, who wore high heals a lot of the time. Well, I just noticed that Kelli Williams' character's name is Gillian.
Gillian is supposed to play straight man to Tim Roth's character, who could, very loosely, be Moulder to Gillian's Scully.
Anyway, unlike Gillian Anderson, Kellie Williams' Gillian does not have that same unique beauty. She pretty in a plain way. And her character is boring so far.
So there's my long-winded opinion.
I'll continue to watch the show.

I watched it for the first time last night and enjoyed it.
Who else was annoyed about the botox thing? I thought it was such an obvious "twist" to the story-- that the judge/mother would turn out to have had botox-- and I had already figured it out yet they built up to it like he was some sort of genius for figuring it out. To me it actually looked like he was bad at his job for not having ruled it out first thing.
I liked Tim Roth though, and I liked the show overall. I liked that (at least this episode) wasn't too scary/morbid/graphic like some of these investigative shows can be. I'm a little sensitive to that stuff right before bedtime.

Yeah - the Botox thing was wicked obvious... but, maybe it is that thing where if you hear hoof beats, you think horses instead of zebras. For him, lies are horses and botox would be a zebra?
I like the re-curring story line between the Dr. and his daughter. That has got to be tough for her to spread her wings when her dad is so perceptive. And it must make it hard for him to only have her part time and wonder what her Mom might miss if she doesn't have the same training he has.
So far, no more mention of the other Dr's husband and what his lie might have been...I hope they get back to that...
