Kinda New...SF East Bay Mama intro.

Hello everyone!

I've been a member of Mothering.com for awhile now, but haven't been active on the forums much. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone!
I am a 28 year old Mama of 2, expecting my 3rd surprise very soon. (Due Jan 29th) Married for 8 years this summer to my handsome Chiropractic husband, Joe.
We are a home-water-birthing, homeschooling, non-vaxing, baby-wearing, breastfeeding, cloth diapering family in San Francisco's East Bay. We have a DS, who is 4 1/2, and a DD, who is 2 1/2.
I am so thrilled with the mass amounts of information and advice available on here. The insurance info has been very helpful since I found out today, (a week before my DD) that Aetna won't cover my homebirth!

I'm looking forward to talking to all of you!

I'm from near that area and spend a lot of time around there still.

I was just talking to a friend of mine today about homebirths in California. How many homebirth midwives are around that area? Is there a birthing center nearby? Did you pay out of pocket for your homebirth?


P.S. I think you are a lucky lucky woman to be married to chiropractor. I wish I had one of those in my family.
