Hi,
I just saw the Middlesex thread but it was closed for posting. I noticed that a few people were still wondering about the Chapter 11 name towards the end of the thread and I wanted to give the answer in case people were still curious. I am not sure if this is okay to post here but will give it a shot anyway since I am not sure where else it would go.
I don't think this is a spoiler because the answer is not in the book. I found it in an interview with the author.
Chapter 11 is called Chapter 11 because he ran the family business into bankruptcy. FYI - Chapter 11 is the bankruptcy chapter for a business that needs to go into liquidation as opposed to 13 which is re-organization.
I finished reading this recently so if there is anyone else that wants to discuss it, I'd love to join in
I missed the boat on the other one since it started like 2 years ago
