Can we talk about meningitis?

Our ped wants my ds to have a vaccine for it. He just turned 13. He, I think should not have any more vaccines because I believe that he had adverse effects that I was told were 'normal' when he was little.
We've done MSA testing and he came up allergic/sensitive to tons of things - but especially to additives and preservatives.
For some reason I didn't find what I was lookiing for in The Vaccine Safety Manual...
Anyone have input on this? it's appreciated!

I had meningitis twenty years ago; it was at a time in my life when I was very tired, run-down, and no really paying attention to my health. No, I was not vaxed for it, but I knew and do know plenty of young people who are vaccinated against it, and got meningitis or ~something like it~ even after getting the shot.

College students are notorious for getting meningitis because they sometimes live in crowded conditions, are stressed out and do not, for the most part, pay attention to their health; being young and healthy can do that to you also....that is, taking your health for granted.

So what do you do to prevent it? and what do you do if you have it? hospital? sorry if I'm incoherent - feeling rather icky - since I've had a sore throat/cold for a week now.

Meningitis is a condition, not a disease. It can be caused by any number of bacteria or viruses or even medications. The vaccines have done nothing to reduce the overall number of cases of meningitis. They simply eliminate a few strains. Others fill the void.
