Does anyone else think Dr Who #11 looks like a serial killer?

First, let me say that I am huge fan of the old and new series of Dr. Who. DH and I follow the new series religiously and watch it online (we're total geeks, I know). I really love what David Tennent did for the new series...plus it doesn't hurt that he is dreamy.

But I was floored when DH played me an interview of the new Dr. (#11), that will be played by a guy named Matt Smith. This guy is gross with a capital G! I am so annoyed by their pick of someone who looks 15 years old and really creepy. : Check him out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/s4/mi...w_doctor.shtml (If you can't watch it, you can also find the clips on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=badPcBlIJvo)

WTF is with his hair?! Edward Scissorhands, where are you?! I hope I'm not the only one who is totally bummed about this change in cast.

Serial killer? No. Someone my emo sister would fall all over to be near? Oh yeah.

I spent a few minutes staring at his picture (yeah yeah I'm weird) and I got a little use to him. He might just pull it off, who knows.

Your are right about the emo thing...I think I could maybe get used to him if he had a good haircut. I just can't take me eyes of his hair...and not in a good way, either!

I love David Tennant as Dr. Who. I am so sad he is stepping down. Every time a new Doctor appears, it takes a while to get used to him. I still love Tom Baker as Dr. Who. Jellybaby, anyone?

Your title made me laugh but you're right the new actor who is going to play Doctor Who looks like he could be killer. I don't know what it is about him but I got that vibe as well.

Between the hair and the twitchy fingers in his interview he totally gave me the Edward Scissorhands vibe. I'm just having an awful time figuring out how everything I love about David Tennant's portrayal can be successfully regenerated in the form of a weird, twitchy boy. Emphasis on the "boy".

I always feel the same when a new doctor is announced- a mix of sadness and excitement. DP doesn't really care for Matt Smith but I remided him that he didn't care for David at the beginning either. I think he has an interesting look- one definitely can't accuse the show of getting another pin-up boy And he's relatively unknown as an actor so it should be interesting to see how he does!

I didn't like David Tennant at first either, so I am going to wait and see. He is very young looking, I suppose they don't want an older Doctor these days.
But he might do ok.

There do seem to be a lot of Doctors with crazy hair for some reason. Maybe thats why they gave him the job?
