I met with the medical intuitive yesterday morning by phone. It was really interesting. We went through the foods I am eating and a bunch of other foods and she told me whether the foods were ok or not. The foods she said were not ok are:
- buckwheat (which I'm currently eating), wheat, oatmeal, gluten
- kidney beans (except in small amounts)
- corn fed meat (pastured, free range is ok), duck
- cane sugar (except in small amonts, I'm currently eating some of this)
- melons, grapes (because of the yeast on the grapes), strawberries, rhubarb
- nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant), celery, lettuces, spinach (except in small amounts), corn (including any derivatives), broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, kale, onion, yams/sweet potatoes (which I trialed yesterday and appears to be a fail)
- coffee (because of the caffeine)
- soy
- any pepper spices, curry, cumin, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, allspice
- dairy
- water kefir (for DD directly, I can have it)
- chamomile tea
- alcohol (because of yeast)
- raisins
- palm oil
- coconut
- kombucha (because of yeast)
- mushrooms
- peanuts
- eggs
She said we both have yeast issues but no issues with adrenal fatigue. She said I should give DD bifidus directly, get lots of sun (morning/evening sun), massage abdomen clockwise when colicky or bottom of feet using reflex points. She said the ocean will be one of DD's loves and to play ocean waves in her bedroom (we already do this). She said I am low in iron, B vitamins, iodine, calcium, vit E, and vit A. She said to not take huge amounts of vit C. She said olive leaf extract (such as in tea form) would be good for the yeast.
She said her sources said a good website would be breakingtheviciouscycle.info. She also said to put an air filtration unit in DD's bedroom and that she was sensitive to dust mites, dander, and mold. She said DD was an extremely alert and sensitive child and will be very touch, visual, and mouth oriented. She said to be very cautious of vaccines and no combo vaccines.
I was careful to not ask leading questions. I asked open-ended questions and just took in what she said. I'm not sure what to do with all this info. Some of the foods she said are ok I don't think are ok (at least they weren't several months ago). I know I won't trial foods I think are bad, but I am thinking of taking buckwheat out of my diet and only using cane sugar to make my water kefir. If buckwheat ends up being bad I will really be a believer. I really thought yams would be okay and it looks like she was right and they failed!
Oh, she also said we will have another baby, a boy, and I should test positive for the pregnancy in October. She also said that baby will not have nearly the problems DD has had and that DD will grow out of most of her intolerances by the time she is 18 mos. I certainly hope she's right!
