most used size knitting needles?

My mom is going to buy me a "lot" of addi turbos. What is your most used size? I'm thinking 6, 8, 10?

5mm is an 8, so I guess 4mm is a 6?

I'm a metric kind of girl, so for me it would be 4.5mm, 5.0mm, and 5.5mm. I'm guessing that we're talking about the same thing but don't have my gauge thingy handy to check.

depends on what you like to knit most. For me, my two most used sizes are 8 (for kid's stuff on worsted weight) and 1 (for socks with fingering weight)

Instead of spending $12 a pop on addis, why not have her get you started with the knitpicks options stuff? That way, you can add on in the future. You can get two sets of tips for the cost of one addi

She's going to be getting them for about $6. I love the addis.

i use my 7s most and 3s.

I use 7 - 9 the most with the 6 & 10 thrown in. I have duplicates of all those sizes because I use them most often.

I use size 6 all the time. My projects fight over them.

You know addis are doing an interchangeable set now, right?

For me, it would be 3.25mm, 3.75mm, 4.5mm and 5mm. You want whatever size gives you a gauge of 18/24 in your favourite ww yarn, whatever size gives you gauge in your favourite DK yarn, and something 1/2cm smaller for ribbing.
