I don't have time to post the actual chart, but I have the school week in 5 days, and each day divided into 15-60 minute increments, depending on the smallest common denominator of all the days. For instance if we have two 15 minute activities on Mon, Wed, Fri and a single 30 min activity on Tue, Thu then it's 15 minute slots across the whole week.
I have school lessons, snacks, lunch, free time, regularly scheduled classes (guitar, gymnastics) printed in there, really everything that is scheduled between 8 am and 5 pm.
Chores used to be on the chart, but it works better to have them on their own list, so the kids choose when to do them, though they are divided into morning, afternoon, evening chores, with suggestions for extra credit chores in each section.
Play dates and special events are just written on the week's chart, and each day has its own colored pencil to color in the slot that has been completed. That way it's easy to see at the end of each week what's working- look, Art on Thursday is consistently not getting done til Friday, let's move the schedule around a little bit.
Oh my goodness, that all sounds a little bit obnoxious to me, but I assure you, having a schedule and having it set up in a way that is consistent and easy for the kids to figure out it is really great. It's one of my happiest achievements this year- finally making a schedule that works, is on the computer, easy to fine tune, and easy for everyone to understand, even grandparents and others.
