Dr. Sears or Stephanie Cave Schedule Follow up

Hey ladies, I am pregnant with my first, due in about 9 weeks. My biggest concern is vaccinations. I am wondering any momma's out there that followed either Dr. Sears or Dr. Stephanie Cave's delayed vax schedule on their child, and how their children are doing now? Any reactions or changes? Any negative effects? Thanks a ton.

I am currently following Dr. Cave's schedule. My DD is only 5 months so we haven't been doing it for too long. So far so good though.

Our family has researched the issue thoroughly and we decided on NO vaccines.

My grandchildren are 11, 5, and 3 and are super healthy. No problems whatsoever. No allergies, asthma. They are the healthiest in all the play groups, school, day care...

Here is something you might want to read -

Also, I'd like to suggest another book for you -

Aviva Jill Romm Healthy Babies, healthy children

Good luck to you and your child.

I wouldn't consider vaxing before 2 yrs. I believe both of those schedules start much younger.

I don't vax at all, but I think you would need to get feedback from kids who were selectively vaxed with the current vaxes) and are now in their teens or older and since some of the vaxes are new additions to the schedule, this is not really possible. Just keep in mind that just because a child doesn't have an immediate reaction doesn't mean that everything is ok. Vaxes have been linked to LONG TERM problems such as diabetes, autoimmune disorders, allergies, ADHD. Some of hese effects will not manifest for years.

The people in my life always use that with me and say "you had all your vaxes and you are fine"

I was CONSTANTLY ill as a child, always on antibiotics. I have allergies, joint problems and stomach problems. My cousin was the same as a child and she was diagnosed with MS in her early 30's. Many people do not consider the possibility long term effects.

Thanks ladies, I seriously want to consider not vaccinating at all, my only concern is that living in New York State the laws are a little tricky. But I am definitely all for holding off on any until my baby to be is atleast 2 yrs old.

They are a touch more complicated than other states, but perfectly do-able. You just need a well-written letter. Since you have two years, it shouldn't be too hard

I was originally going with Dr. Sears schedule, however when son was born I refused the Hep B. When the time came for DS to get his 2 month shots (the ones on the selective schedule) I just didn't feel right about it so I told myself I would wait until he was over 2.
After doing research since then (my son is 8 1/2 months now) I have decided not to do any vaccination.
Congrats on being a soon to be mama!
