Birthing with lucasites? (sp?)

We are having a home birth and due in less than a week
And today my urine had a ton of lucasites, more so than any other time throughout the pregnancy. I think it's because I had something like the flu up until yesterday afternoon/evening but it still brings up the question of, How can this effect my baby or myself in labor? My midwives were fairly concerned, enough to tell me I might think about seeing a doctor and getting some antibiotics. Im taking a ton of things already, including coliodal silver, and that really seemed to be working. So my question is
Have any of you mamas birthed having lucasites before? and what were your experiences?

leukocytes are white blood cells in your urine, I believe. I am too lazy to look it up right now. anyway, when I had them during pregnancy the doctor always said that was a sign of a bladder infection, even though I felt fine. I am not sure that that would necessarily affect your labor, but maybe I am wrong. I hope that helps, a little anyway.

I had leukocytes on and off during my pregnancy and my MW thought it was more likely indicative of a yeast infection. I had to treat myself three times. It might be wise to have a culture done so you know what you're dealing with and you can treat it properly. Your MWs ought to be able to do a culture for you, or you can see an ob. Yeast won't hurt your baby, but he or she could get thrush during delivery, which could transfer to your nipple when you breastfeed and be very uncomfortable.

I had them on and off during pregnancy. My midwives had me take a vitamin c supplement and probiotics vaginally. She made sure I found one that was most likely to dissolved since many of them come with special coatings to make it through the stomach. If the stomach acid won't dissolve it, the vagina surely won't! I didn't have a yeast infection, thought I might have been fighting vaginitis perhaps, but as I got close to birth we thought we'd fight it that way, I don't know if it helped, but it was minimally invasive, and baby came out fine.

Hi,

Leukocytes by themselves in urine are not really a big deal. It just means that your body has been fighting an infection somewhere. And since you said you were sick then that is the reason for them. If it were mixed with blood then you could have a bladder or urinary tract infection. You probably do not even need an antibiotic. It will not cause any problems with you or the baby.
