Children's books about divorce?

I know the "Single Parenting" forum might be the right place for this, but that forum tends to be rather slow and I'm really in need of some suggestions.

My husband is moving out this weekend. We've been preparing ds (3) for the coming split - taking him along when his father was looking for a place... he and daddy have been taking a few things over every other day or so... talking about what's going to happen and how we are all going to be affected.

In addition to all of this, I would really like to find some children's books about parents splitting up (and perhaps also about single-parent families) that deal with the emotions of it all and that might serve as a springboard for more discussion about feelings.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

"It's Not Your Fault, Koko Bear" is excellent. I believe the author is Vicki Lansky. It has tips for parents at the bottom of the page, and tells the story of Koko, who moves from sadness to feeling comfortable with his two new homes, thanks to the help of his very sensitive and cooperative mom, dad, and bearcare provider. It had the right mix of acknowledging children's feelings, giving parents tips on how to deal, and also presenting an arc so the child can see how it might feel better over time.

Good luck!

Thanks, mammastar

I found a couple of others, as well - "I Don't Want to Talk About It" and "Two Homes." We'll see how it goes.....
