Hmm, well I thought I was starting a period today but maybe it's a "second wave". I had been free from any smidge of bleeding for about 4 days and now I am having about my normal period amount (I have really light periods) of bright red flow and I am 2 days away from my 6 week appointment. Is this "second wave" normal? I know it's not from too much activity because the last several days I've been taking it really easy due to back pain. I really hoped I was done with the bleeding, oh well.

Theres a second wave? Ugh...I better find some decent pads now - all the ones I've tried just chafe and hurt.

Second wave starts anywhere from 6-12 weeks, typically. Mine lasted only a few days.

Second wave?! I don't remember that from the first time! Last time I bled about 6 weeks, this time it's on and off--esp when I do too much, but ds2 is really fussy and I spent a lot of time walking him around. Plus I have a wood stove and that's a lot of heavy lifting! Hoping it will end soon...I'm so sick of bleeding.

So, I think I'm done with the bleeding part...but what about this icky discharge part? I have lots and lots of yellow yucky discharge - its really gross and I'm really ready for that to stop too. I'm 8 weeks pp now - how much longer??

Same here, I don't think I got a "second" wave. I got my AF back at 5 mo PP. I think last week was the last time I had any color in the discharge,and it was mostly after lifting something too heavy. I actually feel back to normal!

: I'm 9 weeks pp and I can't stand all this ucky slime. When is it going to end? This is my 3rd birth and the first two were not at all like this. Everything was gone and back to normal at 6 weeks. I'm tired of all the ookiness. Blech!

Well, since I started this post I guess I'd better contribute. PP bleeding lasted 6 weeks for me, and it's been almost three since then, and no second wave. Fingers crossed!
