ISO probiotic for eczema and food allergies

I'm looking for a dairy-free probiotic strain for my toddler and myself for his eczema and food allergies.
Rhamnosus and infantis?
How about this one?

Probiotics won't cure allergies or make eczema go away, but they definitely can support and heal the gut which is often what triggered the allergies in the first place. We use Kirkman labs (order online). B. infantis is the strain for infants and toddlers. Kirkman makes one called Bifido Complex with that. For adults I use Pro-bio Gold (hypoallergenic); it's a good multi-strain.

I am completely new to this but just ordered

HLC Neonate Powder (http://www.rockwellnutrition.com/pro...d=60&catid=159) by Pharmax to help heal my almost 8 month old with ezcema (still trying to find her trigger), and while I was at it I got HLC MindLinx by Pharmax (http://www.rockwellnutrition.com/HLC...ER_p_1091.html) for me and my 3 year old. I have no real advice since I just began researching these supplements a few days ago. I just picked this one because Pharmax is listed in Jane's signature and I have found her information very helpful. I did come across Rhamnosus being specifically mentioned for ezcema. Hope you both have success with your healing!

HLC Neonate has lactose, so I would NOT give it to a baby with food allergies, especially to dairy.

I would also recommend the Kirkman Bifido Complex, and they have another one with rhamnosus too.

Well, I was trying to cut out dairy for my DD too, so I better try and cancel that since it is non-returnable!

I am glad you caught that, my head has been spinning with all of the options available, so I just picked one. It says, "Contains no wheat, gluten, dairy, or casein" so I thought it was safe, but it does contain lactose...confusing.

It is confusing. It's hard to find a probiotic that doesn't have lactose. HLC does make a few, but not their infant formula unfortunately. I think that Klaire and Kirkman are the only other ones I've seen without lactose.

And some babies can tolerate the lactose just fine... but if you have a baby that's really sensitive to dairy, it might irritate them more.
